Searching...

These are a couple of pages of sketches where I was trying to find the designs of the characters in the Capt. Courage comic (which can be seen a couple of posts below this.) You'll also notice my first attempt at the FACA Arena Girl that I self rejected due to general crappiness and sucky drawing.

Thanks guys.

I don't know, that FACA girl drawing is just one of those drawings where I ONLY see what's wrong with her.

These're great pages, John. Several strong items on each, I think. There's something I, too, like about this take on yer FACA girl. Trust me, she ain't all wrong.

Thanks Jon. I think there is some appealing character, mainly because I think cute, sweet looking demon girl provides a weird contrast that is maybe intriguing but, the drawing is crummy. I might take another attempt at her when I get the chance.

John, I don't think that drawing is crummy at all.. I think it is very appealing and I can't see what you don't like about it? maybe it is too symmetrical?

Anyway this post and the latest are both great. Love seeing your doodles.

Thanks again Jamie. Yeah, it's the symmetry that I don't like. It's straight up and down, but also a little off balance. Maybe I should try to fix it.

I guess that i am responding to the character design and you are responding to the pose. If you drew the exact same gal in a slightly different pose you'd have a crowd pleaser
